MORE THAN A DECADE COOKING IN SEVILLE
The result is Torres y García, a restaurant that is already part of the Seville gastronomic scene.
Torres y García Sevilla opened its doors in 2015 with a very clear idea in mind. Seville deserved a restaurant that took Andalusian produce seriously, not as an excuse for the usual tourist menu, but as the starting point for real cuisine. Honest. With technique behind it, even if it’s not immediately apparent.
We chose El Arenal because it has something that can’t be manufactured. It’s the Maestranza neighborhood, the Guadalquivir riverbank, part of a Seville that has been what it is for centuries and hasn’t needed to reinvent itself to remain interesting. That’s exactly what we wanted Torres y García to be from day one: a place with roots, with its own unique perspective, and with the desire to last beyond the seasonal.
Eleven years later, we’re still here. What has changed is the number of people who now know us, who choose us for Thursday lunch, for the December company dinner, for the Sunday family celebration, or for a long Tuesday afternoon chat for no other reason than simply wanting to. That repetition, that return week after week, is what tells us we’re on the right track.
The Michelin Guide has recognized us, and we’re grateful for that. But what truly matters to us is what anyone who sits down at our table can experience. Torres y García Sevilla is today one of the Michelin-starred restaurants in Seville that has been most careful to remain true to its origins, consistently earning recognition in both the Michelin and Repsol Guides in Seville—something that doesn’t happen by chance but through the daily work of the entire team.
If you haven’t been yet, it’s also perfect for an afternoon of desserts, cocktails, and lingering over a meal. No special occasion is needed. And if you’d like to see how the press has covered all this, you can check out our press page.
Torres y García is part of Ovejas Negras Company, a family of Seville restaurants that share the same philosophy: well-prepared ingredients, characterful spaces, and attentive service that never falters, even when the place is full.
The story of Torres y García in El Arenal, Seville, is part of a larger project that has, over time, transformed Ovejas Negras Company into one of the city’s most renowned restaurant groups. Ovejas Negras Tapas, Castizo, Barbarita… each has its own personality, but they all draw from the same wellspring. The group is featured in the Michelin Guide, the Repsol Guide, and the Condé Nast Traveler Guide, which gives you an idea of the high standards they maintain.
Its trajectory is, at its core, quite simple. Since 2015, this restaurant has grown without losing sight of what made it so appealing from the start: that every diner finds excellent cuisine, a welcoming atmosphere, and reasons to return.
